Mobo Tour 2012 Hits Glasgow!

Ah how we love the SMIA (Scottish Music Industry Association) and the work they do! They have just announced they have teamed up with Hear Glasgow!, Urban Development and DF Concerts to bring you an entire day and night of events in Glasgow!

The day in question is Saturday February 23rd and it is all part of the UK MOBO Tour 2012. So what exactly is involved on this day? Well, there is an afternoon packed full of workshops and seminars and in the evening the The MOBO Academy ‘Industry Takeover’ will hit the city with an open MIC/MC battle and an evening gig that will feature both local artists and MOBO Tour artists.

The Takeover will feature many respected experts from various organisations including: SB.TV, RWD Magazine, PRS for Music Foundation, DF Concerts, artists on the MOBO Tour alongside luminaries from the Scottish scene including Andy Rankin (ABAGA Records), Profisee, David Boyd (Capital 1212), Rachel Grimes and one of our favourite people on the planet Muslim Alim (BBC Radio 1). Each will share their own knowledge.

Now for the brilliant bit, it is all completely free! It is hitting 8 cities across the UK and will be a massive opportunity for you to showcase your talent and to get networking!

The full day will take place across: The Mitchell Library/Art School Union/The Garage.
