Canivores & So Many Animal Calls Go On Tour!

Wednesday, May 23rd, 2012

Well this is a pants party that we are pretty excited about. Carnivores are going on tour with So Many Animal Calls. Yes, you heard right.

So Many Animal Calls (SMAC) who were signed to the growing and impressive Overlook Records roster have really started to find their feet. Previous projects had ended so the boys could concentrate on really getting some grounding and tracks such as ‘Traps’ are tighter than a straight fish’s arsehole at an underwater gay club.

SMAC provide instant melodies whilst still having the ability to create explosive rock noise. With some of the best personalities we have encountered in any band since the beginning of Podcart they really deserve a bigger audience.

Next up is Carnivores, a band I find really intimidating to write about. Not because I think they are poor by any means, on the contrary they blow my mammaries off!

The first time I gained full respect for Carnivores was at their And So I Watch You From Afar support slot at Glasgow’s King Tut’s. The band were first on and worked the crowd as if they were a softened Wham bar. Kenny Leckie is the most audacious frontman and behind him his fellow band members trample over much of their competition.

This is a highly recommended tour. I urge you to attend as you will not only discover new talent, but you will be also roused.

The dates are:

MONDAY 11TH JUNE – ABERDEEN, TUNNELS
TUESDAY 12TH JUNE – PERTH, THE CORINNA
WEDNESDAY 13TH JUNE – DUNFERMLINE, THE JAMJAR
THURSDAY 14TH JUNE – GLASGOW, CATHOUSE
FRIDAY 15TH JUNE – FALKIRK, 20 ROCKS
